Only 1000 feet to go!

More clouds rolling in. This was taken from about 10,000 feet.


Another shot of the crater and the weather station.




The opposite side fo the mountain had much less snow on it, but was also a bit steeper at the top. You wouldn't want to slip on either side! Long way down.


Steep!!! Looking down the opposite side of the mountain.


Almost there! Only 500 feet or so to go.




And then the hail started (which was followed by hard rain and lightning).


Coins stuck in the Tori at the top of the mountain. Don't know why, but I'd guess it's kind of like throwing money into a fountain.




Fuji was completely covered by clouds when I was at the bottom, so I never got a good shot then :( Here's a picture from 2003 though
